Smile, Smile and Smile some more.

July 1, 2011 by Su Burnett

Am very excited today, I have a clinic at a stables in two days. I am booked for 6 hours, plus my 2 hours driving time. I love and really enjoy clinics, meeting horses in person, experiencing their smell, their personality and their sense of humour is always a delightful part of my job. Meeting and having the opportunity to talk with their humans is always engaging, informative, inspiring and down right fun. I am sooooo looking forward to it!

In preparation for that amount of work, standing for 6 hours, remaining focused, friendly and using all my senses to translate,  part of me wants to conserve energy, rest and remain still. The horses on the other hand have a different perspective than me, they are recommending relaxing, energizing, stretching and smiling!

To smile, smile, smile, smile and smile some more.  That all I have to do is stretch my body, do some twists, lunges, forward and back bends, take a swim and relax in the sun, enjoy the day….And to smile for ten minutes at a time. This will help me be able to smile for six hours straight in two days.  So am off to relax on this lovely holiday and smile with everyone I meet! Hope you’re smilin’ too!
